Monday, May 17, 2010 at 11:06AM It's a little lonely without an albatross on your shoulder
I finished two huge projects last week. I'd been sewing nonstop for a few weeks, trying to finish a gift for a self-imposed deadline. I made it, but not without a lot of anxiety and swearing. (Swearing is a common theme around here.) Friday night, I finished knitting Elizabeth Zimmerman's seamless hybrid sweater. It's wonderful and I love it and it's so chilly here that I got to wear it on Saturday once I wove in all the ends. (Pictures coming soon, hopefully.)
But now what? I did cast on for May's mystery socks in the Sock Knitter's Anonymous group on Ravelry, and they're proving to be a good knit, lots of twisted stitches but still easy enough to watch TV. There's a little quilt I want to finish - I made the top in...2001? at my first quilting class, and it would be nice to have that finished and out of the closet. But really, there's nothing huge, nothing nagging at me, nothing propelling me forward. I have two options, I suppose - finishing our wedding quilt and the Peace Fleece jacket - but the former involves template pieces that need to be cut and the latter involves cable math and, unavoidably, more swearing.

Hello I just discovered your blog through a link to thektchen and I have to tell you that I really like this dish, I cannot seem to find farro here but I used pearled barley and the results were excellent, so much so that this salad needs no dressing, thank you for a great recipe and a lovely site.http://www.topmenswatches.biz/mille-miglia-chopard-top-mens-watches-cb2348.html
