Red Light

Fame is one of my all-time favorite movies. (Shocker, right?) Abby and I used to watch it all the time in high school. There are so many good quotable lines ("When she sings, it IS draaama."), and we spent a lot of Friday nights watching Coco flee the producer's apartment. ("Tres jolie, Coco.")

Our favorite part, though, was Shirley's audition. One of us would be Leroy, the other Shirley, and we tried to learn the dance. There was a lot of flailing. To get the full scope of the scene, you should know that Shirley is the one auditioning - Leroy is just helping her out. He has no intention of going to school.

The past two days have been Shirley days. I'm glad it's almost the weekend.

I still dance like Shirley sometimes! If only I had her shoes...
