All mayhem all the time

Yes, it's that time again - the Buels are back in town! Kitchen reconstruction 2.0 is in full effect, and the rest of the cabinets will be installed this weekend. That just leaves trim and the countertops. I will be so, so glad to have my kitchen back.

Penny and Gracie are fighting to the death. They're almost head-to-head now, but Penny still has about 20 pounds on Li'l G. Gracie has learned to go for the legs, and Penny has started trying to lift Gracie with her head.

My eyes are getting better. Chrissie asked if Lasik hurt, and the answer to that would be no. It's uncomfortable, sure, but not painful. And it only lasts a few minutes. My eyes have been really dry (which is no surprise, because I have chronic dry eye), and that hurts a bit if I don't slather on the drops.

I know everyone says that you can see pretty much immediately after the procedure. Sure, you can see, but not the way you want to. I've read that it can take 2-3 months for the halos to go away and for the vision to sharpen, and a guy I work with said it took him at least a month. So I'm trying to be patient and not freak out. My mom said my eyes were still dilated last night - a week's worth of dilation is good times. GOOD. TIMES.

Good luck with your cabinets. If we were closer, I'd loan you my bf who's a kitchen installer. But I hear Mr. B. is the God of Tools anyway.
